MY SUMMER DIARY 1

10th August: Yesterday my family and me traveled to Logroño by car, this weekend I have a competition in Pontevedra and as far Pontevedra is, we spent a night in Logroño. We visited the city and it's very beautiful, there is a co-cathedral and a lot of places where you can eat "tapas". For dinner we ate "tapas" they were delicious!!!

JOHN LENNON

We have chosen John Lennon. He was a founding member of the Beatles, he was a musican, a composer and a singer.

On 9th of October 1940 he was born in Liverpool (England). He grew up with his aunt. In 1960 together Paul McCartney they fonded a group called The Beatles.

Then The Beatles became one of the most popular bands in the world. One of their most popular songs is "She Loves You"(1964).

From 1960 to 1970 Lennon made some films. On 1964 they did their first American tour.

He got married with Yoko Oro on 20th of March 1969. Next, The Beatles broke up in 1970. Lennon started a solo carrer. One of his famous songs could be "Imagine"(1971).

In 1970s Lennon supported the pace moviments.

He died in New York shot by one of his fans. It happened on 8th December of 1980.

Since 1960 his music has inspired people around the world and they are still listening his songs.

THE MOST REMARKABLE DAY OF MY CHRISTMAS

The most remarkable day of my Christmas holidays was the 29th of December. It was the third day of the paddling event in Sau. We got up at seven o'clock, we didn't have breakfast and we went to training at half past seven. I was really cold but I train, the training session was really hard, and really cold too!

Next we went to the house were we stayed during the paddling event, and we had breakfast. I changed my chlothes and we went to the second session. The second session was really hard too, and really cold. Suddently a really strong wind started to blow and it caused a lot of waves!

We finished the training session and we went to the house. We changed our clothes again. We did the third trainig session. It was very windy and I was exhausted but I trained.

When I finished I had a shower and we went to have a lunch. Finally we loaded the material and we returned to Banyoles and we unloaded the trailer and we went home.

FILM REVIEW

I'd like to recommend a film "Lord of the Flies". The director of de film is William Golding and the main actor is Balthasar Getty.

Lord of the Flies is an adventure film, it happens in an island during the Second World War. Twenty kids are lost in an island on the Pacific Ocean. They try to survive and work together, but they have different ideas to how survive and they split into two groups.

I liked this film because it is a film that makes you think about life.

I liked the end, it isn't happy but I don't want to change it. I recommend it to people who like adventure.

ESSAY 1: DESCRIBE SOMEONE

Grau Serramitjana is my brother, he was born on 8th of April, he's nine years old. He is younger than me so he lives with my parents and me, in Banyoles.

He is tall, thin, slim, he has got brown eyes and a long nose, he has got brown hair too. He is active, tolerant,ambitious, reliable and very generous.

He has got a lot of hobbies, he is a trumpeter, he likes playing the trumpet, he likes kayaking, he loves running but he really loves sleeping.

His favourite food are apples, his favourite band is Led Zeppelin and his favourite color is blue.

I think my brother is a really good person, but sometimes I get angry with him.
